Our Story
A living royal farm and sanctuary since 1796.
A 200-year-old royal retreat, reimagined for the modern nomad.
In the year 1796, Shreeji Ummaid Singhji, the 18th ruler of Bundi State, gifted this historic farm to his sons, Sardar Singhji and Bahadur Singhji. Originally serving as a royal Aaraamgaha—a peaceful rest house for the ruling family—this landscape has harbored a spirit of deep relaxation and stillness for over two centuries.
Today, Maharaja Rajendra Singhji of Dugari has opened the gates of this ancestral estate, transforming the living family farm into a majestic, low-impact luxury tented encampment. Nestled peacefully on the banks of Lake Jait Sagar and surrounded on three sides by the ancient Aravalli hills, Umaid Bagh invites travelers to step into a timeless royal sanctuary where history, heritage farming, and wild nature exist in perfect harmony.
